Ensure Your Eligibility Before SNAP Benefits Application

Online

Visit the official website https://www.myflorida.com/accessflorida/ to apply for SNAP online. This is the quickest way to apply.

In Person

Apply at a Department of Children and Families center or one of the Department of Children and Families community partners.

This method for SNAP application isn’t suggested during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Fax or Mail

Mail the completed paper application to ACCESS Central Mail Center, P.O. Box 1770, Ocala, FL, 34478-1770, or fax it to a customer service center. You can download the documents here.

How long will it take to Get the Benefits?

Normally, it takes about 30 minutes to complete the online application. It may take up to 30 days to process your application (longer if you need a disability determination). If you sign up for email notifications, you will receive an email notification once your application is processed. If you do not sign up for email notification, a notice will be sent to you by post. Then you will be called within 5 days if you need an interview to verify your identity. If you are not eligible, the notice will include the reason(s) you are not eligible.

If you are required to provide additional information, you will receive a notice about what documents are needed. You can mail, fax, upload your documents in your ESS portal, or turn in information at a local office or community partner.
